RAY A. OWNBY

My career has been diverse and my background includes experience in Engineering Design, Consulting and Project Management.  My professional history includes working in the Capital Goods, Marine, Transportation, Distribution, Automotive, and Aerospace industries.  I am a motivated individual and dedicated team player with good leadership, strong communication and analytical skills.  I view myself as an impact person who can take on the most challenging projects and ensure that they are completed successfully.

My education consists of an Associate of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Pellissippi State Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Tennessee State University in Engineering Design.  I have taken classes towards a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.  I am a Certified ScrumMaster® by Scrum Alliance®.  I have earned an Agile Scrum Foundation Certificate from Simplilearn and a Project Management Certificate from the University of South Carolina.  Additionally, I have completed Green Belt Training through Vector International on Six Sigma.

My personal life revolves around my wife and three children.  My wife and I have been married for 25+ years.  My daughter is a graduate from Clemson University.  My oldest son is a senior at the University of South Carolina and is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2019.  My youngest son is a freshman at the University of South Carolina. I am proud husband and father. I am especially proud of the Christian values and integrity my family holds.
