Sr. Project Manager – Contractor                                                                                                                                                        10/2019 – Current

Currently, working remotely for AgFirst Farm Credit Bank on contract with Ask Staffing, Inc.  Project management responsibilities and accomplishments include:

  • Successfully managed the implementation of SailPoint IIQ, an Enterprise Identity Administration and Governance System for a 6,000+ user base involving AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and (22) Associate Banking organizations.  This included managing Active Directory Remediation projects in preparation for the SailPoint “One Touch” implementation.

  • Successfully managed SailPoint “One Touch” implementation project which integrated SailPoint IIQ system with 100+ software applications.  Integration included setting up software automation using Role Based Access Control (R.B.A.C.) and Segregation of Duties (S.O.D.).

  • Drove the Privileged Access Management (P.A.M.) selection project.  After CyberArk was chosen, managed the installation of the CyberArk software application within the AgFirst infrastructure environment.

  • Guided the Identity Access Management (IAM Team) on Agile methodologies and best practices.  Used Microsoft Azure DevOps software application for project management and Clarity for Financial Management.

  • Use SharePoint software application to provide weekly project status reports to AgFirst’s Project Management Organization (PMO) and monthly status reports to AgFirst’s Project Execution and Advisory Committee (PEAC).

  • Developed Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for vendor quotes, created Statement of Works (SOWs), determined resource availability via heat maps, managed project financials, controlled risks, and resolved project issues.

Project Manager

Apex Systems is an IT staffing and workforce solutions firm. They specialize in providing IT professionals for contract, contract-to-hire and direct placements. The employment opportunities are focused in Infrastructure, Application Development, Security, PMO technical, Engineering, and Life Science disciplines. One of the clients that they support in the Greenville, SC area is Ahold Delhaize USA. I was employed by Apex Systems on a short-term contract position to work onsite at Ahold Delhaize USA as an IT Project Manager. My role was focused on Disaster Recovery related projects and working with the Disaster Recovery (DR) Team.


Accomplishments:

  • Managed the planning and setup of a Dell EMC PowerMax 2000 Data Storage System in Data Center in Greenville, SC.

  • Guided the Disaster Recovery Team on project management methodologies and how to effectively use MS Project for Disaster Recovery Planning and infrastructure project implementations. Built a Master DR Program with sub-projects for the DR Team to utilize in MS Project.

  • Used my background in networking and application integration to assist DXC Technology in the development of Application Recovery Plans (ARP) and Technical Recovery Plans (TRP) that would be used in the Disaster Recovery Tests for the Greenville, SC, Salisbury, NC and Colorado Springs, CO Data Centers.

  • Used my software skills to develop a method to share the Greenville Data Center floor plan maintained by DXC Technology with the Disaster Recovery Team. This prevented the Disaster Recovery Team from a reduplication effort and cost in MS Visio.

  • Developed the project implementation plans for Dell’s Avamar Proof of Concept project and for a Dell EMC PowerMax 2000 Data Storage System project in Salisbury, NC data center.

  • Worked with DXC Technology to maintain an accurate inventory of the equipment in the Greenville Data Center.

  • Researched IBM Resiliency Orchestration DRaaS software solution and facilitated discussions between IBM and the Disaster Recovery Team.

Intergen Group / Gulfstream Aerospace, Savannah, GA                                                                                                                      6/2018 - 11/2018

Project Manager

Intergen Group is an innovative software services company, providing software engineering and contract consulting for a diverse group of industries, including high-tech, manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, financial and business services.  One of the key clients that they support is Gulfstream Aerospace.

 

I was employed by Intergen Group to work onsite in a contract position at Gulfstream Aerospace as a Project Manager overseeing the implementation of new software technologies developed by Dassault Systems.  In this role, I provided guidance and management over the Gulfstream Development Team. 

 

Accomplishments:

  • Oversaw a Digital Thread project that delivered custom presentations to various Gulfstream Business Groups demonstrating the benefits of Exalead, OnePart, Program \ Change Management and other modules within Dassault Systems 3DX Experience platform.

  • Managed Gulfstream’s Development Team using Agile methodology and following SDLC process in creating a 3DX Development Environment that established the 3DX Data Model foundation for future environments.

  • Collaborated with the team, architects and software vendor to define code drop features and oversaw multiple 3DX Development Code Drop implementations.

  • Conducted a weekly steering committee meeting with senior management and provided progress status metrics updates to stakeholders.

  • Organized and facilitated bi-weekly scrum meetings and tracked assigned tasks in Team Foundation Server (TFS).  Provided notification on any pending or late project tasks to team members.

  • Represented the 3DX Development Project in the Governance Review Board and Architectural Review Board Meetings where approval had to be granted to continue moving forward on the project.

  • Use Project and Portfolio Management Center (PPMC) to provide reports to Governance Board Directors.

IBM, Armonk, NY

Global Business Services (G.B.S.) Project Manager (remote position)                                                                                                        2007 – 2017
Oversaw GBS, Strategic Outsourcing accounts, Global Technology Services accounts along with IBM Watson Group’s Proof of Concepts projects. Project management responsibilities included:

  • Executing the Statement of Work; creating change requests, managing risks, issues and project dependencies.

  • Created and tracked a detailed project plan to ensure project was executed on-time and met the client’s goals.

  • Ensured project issues were resolved using methodology established by the organization.

  • Created weekly progress reports on project metrics – e.g., hours burned vs. hours estimated, profitability, earned value, project progress, risks & issues. Ensured project completed underbudget with no cost overruns.

  • Conducted Weekly Project Status meetings with client’s management team to review project updates, internal and external project dependencies and realistic timelines for project completion.

Key projects managed were as follows:

  • Watson project manager over Proof of Concept implementation of WEX, WEA, and WCS. Clients included Accenture, AETNA, AFLAC, BNSF Railway, Fidelity, Prudential, Seattle Genetics, Sempra Energy, State Farm, and Zurich N.A.

  • Infrastructure Project Manager for BNSF Railway. Oversaw end-to-end, complex, $MM projects involving data center relocations, disaster recovery, system integrations, new software implementations, active directory upgrades and software and hardware refreshes on a wide variety of platforms and software. Use SDLC process and met or exceeded the required project SLAs for 4 1/2 years. Key projects included:

    • Managed MS Exchange 2007 & MS OCS 2007 implementation including intertwined software applications for 60K users.

    • Managed Active Directory/Domains upgrades for MS Exchange 2007.

    • Managed setup of IBM’s DB2 PureScale environment, including server setup, testing & ensuring continuous availability.

    • Managed projects involving SQL, DB2, MQ, WebSphere, Java, AIX, INTEL, Virtual and I-Series Server platforms.

    • Awarded support contract valued at 3.25M dollars through implementation management of MS OCS 200

  • Transition & Transformation Project Manager. Oversaw Data Center Migrations, Cloud Migrations, Equipment & Resource removal projects. Key projects included:

    • Drove SAP Regression Testing and IXOS implementation at Miller-Coors, eliminating code defects for production rollout.

    • Managed transferred of IT department support from IBM resources to Clarient resources so client could be self-sufficient.

    • Guided Data Center Migration of Broadridge Financial Solutions, involving over 200 servers (UNIX, INTEL & Virtual) and numerous software applications, managing critical situation project, stabilizing outages in SAN Storage Environment. Migration included managing AT&T resources for setting up the data center network. (VPNs, Firewalls, Gateways, etc.)

    • Project managed CenturyLink infrastructure Unix / Intel server builds for Data Center Migration project involving over 1.2K servers, completing final wave implementation.

    • Drove initial hybrid cloud model for Fleetcor’s Z Systems mainframe implementation, determining global technical resources required, moving data infrastructure to IBM cloud technology, reducing client $40M per year.

  • Technical Project Manager. Oversaw software application development & deployment (SDLC process). Key projects included:

    • Managed global project for General Motors, replacing and integrating code from an obsolete outdated system to more efficient product, while providing cost effectiveness for customer and, eliminating financial penalties.

    • Used Agile methodology to manage Lowes Sterling R7 SP5 deployment, providing competitive advantage with customer data being stored, supplying up to date costs and supplies, saving resources and providing quality customer service.

Specialized in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

  • Provided consulting on CATIA V5 and ENOVIA LCA software application to Boeing engineering staff for 787 Dreamliner Aircraft. Delivered automated engineering solutions that were implemented within Pre-Option Commodity Designs.

  • Setup and deployed ENOVIA LCA system for Engineering Department at Bath Iron Works.

  • Setup and configured ENOVIA LCA System, including Test, Quality and Production Environment of ENOVIA LCA, establishing people and organization data structure, application workflows via Websphere and associated customizations required by user community.

  • Performed administrative tasks associated with DELMIA software application pilot program, installing, configuring, and integrating settings to connect DELMIA and ENOVIA LCA.

Worked onsite at Freightliner, subsidiary of Daimler-Chrysler. Taught various engineering design methodologies and conducted technical seminars and training classes.   • Developed method for custom-online training material with voice-animated graphics for Freightliner engineering department using Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, and Camtasia software applications, allowing client to have systematic instructions at fingertips, increasing efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Employed by MasterCraft Boat Company as the Engineering Coordinator for the WetJet Personal WaterCraft Division.  In this role, oversaw the design process for the WetJet Personal Watercraft Division.  Accomplishments include:

  • Redesigned of the fuel and cooling system on the Two-Cycle Engine used in the PWCs.

  • Designed wiring system for personal watercraft including schematics, connector specifications, and routing.

  • Coordinated the engineering of all service kits sent to dealers to repair PWCs in a sixty-three-million-dollar recall campaign covering all `95 personal watercraft models.
